About VLC

Part of the reason for agreeing to move out of the town onto our current site was the potential that the St. John’s site had to help us realise our vision for the school.

Given the facilities here, we sought and gained additional funding in order to build a new Vocational Learning Centre (VLC) which provides 6 further areas of learning catering for up to 60 students aged 11 to 18.

Students can enjoy learning in modern and cutting edge facilities and gain qualifications in Motor Vehicle Studies, Construction, Hair and Beauty and Engineering.

As well as broadening the curriculum offer for our own students by enabling them to use the VLC, surplus places can be purchased by other schools and organisations for pupils at risk of exclusion and other young Students people with similar, needs as well as students from other special schools.
