• If we have not been informed of your child’s absence, a member of the Pastoral Team will contact you to find out the reason. The absence will be recorded using the current Department for Education codes.
   
• If we are unable to make contact, the absence will be marked as unauthorised. If there is no communication for five consecutive days, a member of the Pastoral Team will carry out a wellbeing check at the child's home.
   
• If your child has an unavoidable medical or dental appointment, please notify the school office in advance by calling 01604 878977. We may request evidence of the appointment.

Please note that holidays during term time will not be authorised, except in exceptional circumstances and then only at the discretion of the Headteacher.
