Safeguarding

We believe that safeguarding is a fundamental responsibility that empowers each student to thrive both academically and personally.

If you are worried or concerned about something that has happened to a child, you, a friend, or someone you know, please speak to a member of our Safeguarding Team.

Our values centre around the principle that every pupil deserves to feel safe, heard, and valued in our school community. We prioritise 'pupil voice', recognising that the insights and experiences of our students are vital in shaping a nurturing and secure environment.

At The Gateway School, safeguarding means more than protection; it embodies our commitment to foster six core themes to prepare our students for adulthood:

⭐Resilience

⭐Reflection

⭐Communication

⭐Going beyond your borders

⭐Balance

⭐Independence

We create proactive strategies and responsive measures to ensure that every student feels safe and supported, both physically and emotionally.
